croeso i cymru
Hi there everyone.
I would like to show you around my home.
Welcome to wales.
So what my village lacks in entertainment it makes up for in scenery. I have never really lived in a city, so I will share a few sights with you today :-)
The above is the view from the end of my road. Go ahead try and pronounce the name of my village, my mum has lived here 24 years and still says it wrong lol!
The next village down from me (bethania) is where the Ty nant spring water factory is - most people have heard of this company, they sell water in blue and red glass bottles. Please let me know if you have heard of it.

The liitle story behind the statues..I helped make them when I was in school. It was a school project. They are about 21 years old :-) they are made out of paper mache :-)
I remember when I was in primary school, the most pupils we had was 35. Unfortunately the school has just been closed due to low numbers. Which is a sdhasme because they are closing all the small village schools and wanting to open a big one.
There are a couple of really nice walks in my area. One of which we did a few weeks ago. Its called Elan valley. If you ever visit wales, then you must go here :-)
Although there are times I find it tough having to drive everywhere and not having a local shop. But you can't beat the view :-)
I can't wait to see where you all live!!
name change
Good morning everyone,
I am currently considering a name change for my blog and I am open to suggestions.
So if you are willing please suggests away!
Also if anyone could please discover a way to remove toothache without a dentisat that would be great :-)
I had ridiculous toothache last week...ended up in an emergency appointment yesterday with an enjoyable needle in my jaw..yay!!
Toothache is the absolute worst, especially when no painkillers seem to work. Oh well, hopefully it will get better with a bit of drilling eek!!

blogs that need to be seen
chantelle - the writer of fat mum slim. I discovered this blog via the photo a day challenge last year, and instantly fell in love! The way she writes is how I think. Which I think is why felt an instant bloggy connection :-)
devon - the writer of the tale of a mermaid. This is a lovely blog about surfing and travel. It also has awesome photos :-)
tahnie - this is a blog I discovered whilst doing the blogember challenge in November of last year. She is a wonderful and inspirational lady. I urge you to read her story.
I unfortunately don't read enough blogs on a daily basis, so I have 5 recent discoveries that I am in love with! I will be reading them from now on for sure :-)
susie - mum of 7..yea 7 children :-) kinda speaks for itself really doesn't it!
theoneinamillionbaby.wordpress.com - unfortunately I don't know this lady's name. But I can across her story just recently...and seriously just read it. There is no words to describe it.
helen - a recent discovery thanks to the blogtember challenge. Love this lady and the way that she writes.
Britney lee - what can I say about this lovely lady?! Sassy, crafty, funny and just all round awesome :-)
bailey jean - another recent discovery thanks to the wonders of Google. I tell you what I will be an avid visitor to this lady's blog :-)
Short and sweet today lovelies

colour me autumn
Happy sunday everyone!
Its official autumn is in the air, I can feel it.
Thank you bailey Jean...I am officially addicted to mood boards :-)
So the above photo's are a combination of pinterest and my own photos.
But what do I love about autumn...let me list the ways
Open fires
Snuggly blankets
Warm jumpers
Hot chocolate
Fireworks
Orange leaves on trees
The crunch of leaves beneath your feet
Woolly socks!
Comforting stews
The possibility of snow
Cuddles on the sofa
Movie night
Soup and warm bread
Hats and gloves and scarves..oh my!
Leaf art..come on who doesn't?!
Inside barbeques
Watching leaves float down to the ground
Emily Bronte quotes it best -
'Every leaf speaks bliss to me fluttering from the autumn tree'
Have a special sunday

dearest sister
Dearest sister,
Sometimes there are things that I want to say to you, but I don't.
But today I shall write them to you.
I love you
You are my wonderfully, beautiful and unique sister.
We have quite the age gap, but who cares :-)
You are crazy as a box of frogs..but I am crazier :-)
We have sometimes had a turbulent relationship, but who doesn't right?!
You always have to out do me...like having Kiki on my due date...still haven't forgiven you by the way :-)
I believe you are such a brave person
You have been through so much in your 22 years my sweet sister. If I could take away your pain I would have it given to me. You don't deserve the things that you have struggled through, and I tell you now lady..you have pushed through it with your head high and with a wonderful amount of grace.
I would not change you for the world
You my only sister, and I love you with all my heart and soul.
You are a beautiful, beautiful lady and I am so very, very proud of the person you are.
All my love always.
Your big sister,
Charl xxxx
one day in my life
Good day to you all :-)
I tell you something I have never photographed my day before, and I have to say it felt a bit strange. To be fair, Saturdays are a rare quiet-ish day. I should done it yesterday :-)
Here goes...
I always start my day with coffee...most people do to be fair, I also got to lie in until 7.45am this morning yay! I found my daughter laying on the sofa at 9am watching cartoons... Clearly had a busy week at school. I then chased ariana down because it was nap time...she hates nap time :-) but tough luck I say!!
While Ariana napped, james had tummy time..mainly because he won't get squashed if Ariana is in bed :-)
Today we are visiting my parents...who live 5 mins away!! But I decided to make a chocolate chip loaf cake for the occasion.
I also made a pork roast for lunch..got to feed the troops..when I type it out it looks like a do a lot! :-)

After lunch we went to my parents. My mums bestie was visiting and she hasn't met james yet :-)
So we had to get photos of the occasion
Can you guess which one my mum is? Bet you can!
I went for a bit of a stroll around the farm while hubby watched rugby, and couldn't resist taking pictures of where I grew up :-)
What with autumn creeping around the corner some of the colours are lovely.
We got home at around 5.30...at which point the dishes were calling me yay!! Whilst I did this however, Ariana decided this was a brilliant time to pull all of my bible literature of the shelves..awesome! So naturally I photographed it first haha!
We had a bit of family movie time with snacks.
Then I ended my day by lying in bed with a glass of Chardonnay and listening to the les miserables 10th anniversary soundtrack...whilst writing this post.
It is currently 8.40pm.
Man do I feel old...clearly I live the rock star lifestyle :-)
What did you guys get up to?
Have a scrummy Saturday
